Data Deletion Instructions
TIKTOK Effect provides multiple ways for you to revoke access and delete your stored data.
1. Unlink TikTok Account (Revoke Access)
If you only want to revoke our access to your TikTok profile without deleting your local account:
- Log in to your TIKTOK Effect Dashboard.
- Navigate to Account Settings.
- Use the TikTok profile unlink control, not the separate LIVE disconnect control.
This action requests revocation of the profile authorisation through TikTok. Check the result: a failed request is not confirmation that permission has been revoked. Unlinking OAuth is separate from stopping LIVE, logging out and deleting stored data. Existing profile records are not automatically erased by revocation.
2. Request deletion of your TIKTOK Effect account
Full account deletion for both web and TIKTOK Effect Mobile is handled by JK MEDIA as a verified request. Email info@jkmedia.dev from the address assigned to your account with the subject “TIKTOK Effect data deletion request”. This also applies to accounts registered through Google. Never send your password, a login token, provider secret or private overlay/device link.
After verifying account ownership, we will delete or irreversibly anonymise account data, Google identity links, configurations, uploaded media, stored TikTok credentials and session history, except information necessary for legal obligations, security investigation or defence of claims. Requests are handled within applicable legal time limits. Where we must retain a limited record or an operational backup cannot be removed immediately, we explain the applicable exception. Deletion concerns our Service, not the Google or TikTok account itself.
You can remove the Google authorisation in your Google account's third-party connections settings. Removing Google/TikTok authorisation or logging out does not itself delete the Service account or necessarily end an existing Service session. Uninstalling Mobile does not delete server records; logging out clears the app's saved login credentials. Subscription cancellation, if applicable, is separate and follows the purchase provider's process. Once payments are enabled, payment providers such as Mollie may retain transaction records under their own legal obligations.
3. Revoke Access Directly via TikTok
If you cannot access your TIKTOK Effect dashboard, you can revoke access directly through the TikTok app:
- Open the TikTok App on your device.
- Go to Profile > Settings and privacy (hamburger menu).
- Select Security and permissions.
- Select Manage app permissions.
- Find TIKTOK Effect in the list and choose Remove access.
Removing access through TikTok revokes the authorisation under TikTok's process. It does not itself erase existing Service records or necessarily terminate an already issued Service session.
4. Limited records and TikTok identity reservations
A pseudonymised reservation of the verified TikTok identity may remain after unlinking or account deletion, without the deleted Service account identifier. It contains the identity hash, OAuth environment and application identifier, first-link date and any applicable trial-start date, not an active OAuth token. It can prevent the same identity being assigned to a new account. Ask us to examine an incorrect assignment, erasure request or objection individually. We must justify any continued retention; hashing alone is not anonymisation.
Other exceptions must be limited to necessary legal duties, a specific security investigation or claims. Backups may follow a separate limited rotation cycle. We explain the categories retained and the reason and period or criteria applicable to your request; deletion of a database entry alone does not establish deletion of uploaded files. The Privacy Policy explains the relevant purposes and rights.
5. Requests, deadlines and viewers
We respond without undue delay and within one month of receiving a data-rights request. Where justified by complexity or the number of requests, we may extend this by two further months and explain why within the first month. Requests are normally free, subject to lawful exceptions. If you cannot access the former account email, explain the situation so we can consider proportionate alternative verification.
A viewer does not need a Service account to request access, erasure or another applicable right. Contact info@jkmedia.dev with the creator profile, approximate transmission time and an identifier that helps locate the interaction. Do not send your TikTok password. We explain any refusal and available complaint or judicial remedies. Copies of a broadcast held outside our systems may require separate contact with the responsible party.
Current BETA access is free and Mollie checkout is not active. There is no active automatic Mollie subscription to cancel through this process. If payments are introduced, the deletion instructions will explain their actual relationship with account closure and billing. An email-based deletion request is not a declaration that a mobile store release meets every in-app account-deletion requirement.
