Terms of Service

Last updated: October 17, 2026

These Terms cover the TIKTOK Effect website, web dashboard, browser overlays and TIKTOK Effect Mobile for Android and iOS (the "Service"), operated by JK MEDIA, Netherlands, KVK: 68578458. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Contact us at info@jkmedia.dev. · Kasteelhoekstraat 17, 4433 AJ Hoedekenskerke

1. Description of Service

TIKTOK Effect provides browser overlays for TikTok LIVE Studio and OBS Studio, interactive widgets, LIVE alerts, statistics and automations. The mobile product provides supported alert, audio and text-to-speech functions. Features vary by product, access plan, device and operating system. Google login identifies your Service account; it does not connect a TikTok LIVE stream or grant additional platform permissions.

2. Account and Registration

You must be at least 18 years old and provide an email address you control. You may register using a password or Google. Google-only registration does not require a local password. New Google accounts are activated automatically after verified Google sign-in, an adult self-declaration and acceptance of these Terms; we record the declaration, Terms version, language and time. Password registrations still require administrator approval. Existing pending, rejected or suspended accounts cannot bypass their status by choosing another login method.

To link Google to an existing password account with the same email, you must confirm that account's password. Do not register or link someone else's identity. Connecting TikTok through Login Kit is a separate authorisation and is not the same as signing in to TIKTOK Effect.

You are responsible for protecting your account, device, credentials and private overlay or pairing links, and for promptly reporting suspected compromise. Do not share access in breach of your plan or bypass session/device restrictions. We never ask you to enter your Google or TikTok password into our own login form or send it to support.

3. Independent Third-Party Status

TIKTOK Effect is an independent software tool. We are not affiliated with, authorized, maintained, sponsored, or endorsed by TikTok, Bytedance Ltd., or any of their affiliates. Any use of the word "TikTok" is for descriptive purposes to indicate platform compatibility.

4. User Content and Uploads

You retain your rights in the media and text you upload, record or configure. You grant us the limited permission needed to host, process and deliver that content for the functions you request, including overlays, mobile alerts and speech. You must have the necessary rights and permissions for your media and use of other people's data. Do not upload unlawful content or content infringing copyright, privacy or other rights.

You control the viewer information displayed in your stream. Public usernames, comments and participation details can still be personal data. Configure your alerts, rankings, speech and games responsibly and provide any audience disclosures required for your use. Points, rankings and game outcomes do not themselves promise cash prizes or financial returns; creators are responsible for applicable promotion and platform rules.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
  • Attack the Service, obtain another user's data, evade access controls or abuse the infrastructure. Restrictions on reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by law.
  • Publish private overlay URLs, login tokens or device-pairing credentials, or use them to access another account.
  • Use media, speech or automations for harassment, unlawful surveillance, impersonation or other unlawful harm.

6. Limitation of Liability

We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. LIVE event delivery depends on third-party platforms, connectivity and device behaviour. Mobile background playback depends on a supported installed build, system permissions and operating-system restrictions; browser previews do not prove native background reliability. Keep backups of important media and test your setup before a broadcast.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by third-party outages, your device or network, or unauthorised sharing of your credentials. These Terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable mandatory consumer protections.

7. Termination

We may restrict or suspend access for violations, suspected compromise, abuse or legal requirements. Where appropriate, we provide a reason and an opportunity to contact support; urgent security or legal measures may require immediate action. Contact info@jkmedia.dev if you believe a restriction is incorrect.

You may request closure and deletion of your shared web/mobile account using the Data Deletion instructions. Removing a Google/TikTok permission, logging out or uninstalling Mobile does not by itself delete the account or cancel a separately purchased subscription.

8. Access plans and purchases

During the current BETA, the available web and Mobile features are free for accounts approved to use the Service. Account approval, security controls and the requirements of individual features still apply. BETA is not the future 30-day trial of a paid offer; existing BETA registration dates do not automatically start that future trial.

Ending BETA will not automatically create a paid subscription or authorise a charge. Before any paid transition, we will explain the date, scope, available options and what happens to account settings. Paid access requires a separate order on terms disclosed before purchase. Material changes will be communicated in advance where required by law.

A shared login does not mean a shared subscription: a web/PC plan does not automatically unlock Mobile, and a mobile plan does not automatically unlock web/PC features. Mobile access must not require purchasing a PC plan. Any bundle or cross-product access must be explicitly included in the offer.

Mollie is the planned operator for website payments. The checkout is not currently active. Once available, Mollie payment-method and processing conditions will be shown in the purchase flow. Listing Mollie here does not activate a checkout, create a subscription or authorise a charge.

If a paid offer is available, its price, applicable taxes, scope, duration, payment provider, and any renewal and cancellation conditions must be disclosed before purchase. Do not assume that a plan or a disabled checkout creates a payment obligation. Cancellation, refunds and any statutory withdrawal rights are governed by the disclosed purchase conditions and applicable mandatory law. App-store purchases, if offered, also use the relevant store's purchase and cancellation process.

If a future offer includes a free trial, its start and eligibility will be disclosed before activation. Changing a TikTok username, unlinking a profile, reinstalling the app or creating another Service account must not automatically renew a trial for the same verified TikTok identity. An exhausted trial does not prevent access under a valid paid entitlement covering the feature. Contact support to resolve an incorrect identity reservation or recover access; never send provider passwords.

9. Privacy and permissions

Our Privacy Policy explains the data used by both products, Google and TikTok connections, local storage, security records, mobile permissions and deletion. Only grant device permissions you understand. Browser recording is optional; the current mobile alert app does not require microphone recording. An authorisation for one feature is not consent to unrelated advertising or data use.

10. Software and third-party services

You may use the Service's software and available assets within your authorised access and the applicable licence. This does not transfer ownership of our software or third-party material. Google, TikTok, browser speech services and streaming platforms operate under their own terms. We do not guarantee their availability, approval of your account, or that a stream will earn revenue.

11. Changes and applicable rights

We display the revision date and communicate material changes through the Service or an appropriate channel, with notice where required by law. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights arising from a purchase. Mandatory consumer and data-protection rights remain applicable regardless of these Terms. Questions or complaints may be sent to info@jkmedia.dev.

Reasons for changes may include legal requirements, security, technical compatibility or changes to the available functions. A change notice should explain its scope, effective date and the options available to existing users. Publishing revised terms does not replace a separate consent or order where one is required, and does not retrospectively authorise a payment.

12. Technical requirements and content rights

Web functions require an up-to-date compatible browser with JavaScript, required browser storage and an internet connection. Overlays require a compatible browser source in TikTok LIVE Studio or OBS Studio. Mobile functions require a supported installed build and the capabilities and permissions needed by the selected function. Not every function is available on every operating system; a browser preview is not a promise of an available store release.

The permission to process your uploads is non-exclusive and limited to hosting, technical processing and delivery needed for the requested functions and service operation. It does not permit selling your content, using it in our advertising or training AI models without a separate appropriate basis. Availability of music, images or videos online does not itself permit their use in a broadcast. Report suspected infringement to our contact email with enough information to locate the material, without sharing credentials.

Do not use the Service to organise unlawful gambling or suggest that a paid gift guarantees a prize or profit. A draw involving prizes or participation conditional on a paid gift may require a separate legal assessment and promotion rules; describing a widget as entertainment does not resolve those requirements.

13. Complaints and ending the Service

Send complaints to info@jkmedia.dev with a description, approximate time of the problem and the outcome you request. We may ask for information necessary to investigate, but not passwords or tokens. We handle complaints without undue delay and within any applicable statutory deadline. This process does not limit access to a court, consumer authority or another statutory remedy.

Restrictions should be proportionate to the violation or risk. Where lawful and safe, we explain the reason and allow you to submit information for review. If we discontinue the Service or materially restrict it for existing users, we will communicate the consequences and available steps with advance notice where required by law. Mandatory rights relating to digital-service conformity and updates remain unaffected where applicable.

14. Applicable law and mandatory protection

These Terms are governed by Dutch law without depriving consumers of mandatory protection applicable under the law of their country of habitual residence. No provision imposes an exclusive court on a consumer contrary to applicable jurisdiction rules. Free BETA access does not by itself exclude consumer or data-protection rights.
